Welcome to First Grade

My name is Mrs. Meyer, and I am starting my seventh year in first grade. I have been teaching at Bennet for 36 years. Prior to my move to first grade I have also taught second and third grade. I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree from Nebraska Wesleyan University and my Master of Education degree from the University of Nebraska. My husband Doug and I have two sons, and we live in Lincoln. Our oldest son Christian graduated from NWU and our second son Cole is attending NWU. Spending time with my family and friends, and reading are my favorite activities. I am looking forward to an exciting year with 19 first graders ready to learn to read!
