Welcome to the Palmyra District OR-1 School district web site and the 2010-2011 school year. I am beginning my 25th year in Education having served as the Superintendent and K-12 Principal in Chambers from 2005-2010. Prior to that time I spent 19 years at Sutton as a coach and Social Studies teacher. I look forward to working in District OR-1 and the communities that are served by our schools.
Education:
1986 BS in Social Studies Broad Field Endorsement University of Nebraska Lincoln, 1999 MA in Educational Administration University of Nebraska Kearney, Educational Specialist July 2007 University of Nebraska Kearney.
Family:
My wife Jen is also an educator with a background in early childhood special education and elementary education. She is currently completing a Masters program with a media endorsement. We have 3 children who are currently in college or the workforce. Jon is completing a respiratory tech program. Our oldest daughter Mallary is working in an early childhood program in Omaha. Sean, our youngest son, is working in Lincoln and going to school via the National Guard with an interest in heating and air. All three of my oldest children have served in the Air Force Reserve or National Guard. We also have a 5 year old daughter Ryann, who will enter school this fall and is very excited about the move. We have 1 grandson who resides in Lincoln with our youngest son and his wife Maryanne.
