Palmyra FFA qualifies for State Land Judging

Palmyra FFA and agriculture students competed in the Southeast Area Land Judging Contest Wednesday Oct. 10 at Beatrice. There were 142 students from area schools comprising 37 teams determining slope, soil textures, erosion, how to use the land and what treatments to apply to the land.
Courtney M. was Palmyra's highest placing individual with a 4th place. The team of Dalton R- 9th, Morgan D- 11th, Adam S- 13th and Matt W. qualified to compete at the State contest in Arapahoe, October 31st. Palmyra members did very well at the contest placing 5 teams in the top 10 teams and winning 22 of the 56 individual ribbons awarded.
