Lady Panthers Pick Up Second Win of Season

The Palmyra Lady Panthers picked up their second win of the season on December 21^st over visiting Sidney, Iowa. It was back and forth all night as both teams battled hard. Sidney jumped to a 8-7 lead in the first quarter, but a strong 12 point 2^nd quarter put the Lady Panthers up 19-17 going into the break. It was pretty much even in the third quarter with Palmyra holding a 26-25 lead going into the 4^th. The Lady Panthers took control of the game in the 4^th quarter scoring 14 points to Sidney’s 6. The final score being Palmyra 40 and Sidney 31.

Karey Straube fights for a rebound.

Jessica Otradovec had a huge night for the Lady Panthers scoring 17 points and pulling down 8 rebounds. Freshman Sam Masilko followed with 12 points and 7 steals. Also scoring for the Panthers were Kara Williams-5, and Steph Holdsworth and Karey Straube each adding 3 points. The win moved the Lady Panthers to 2-3 on the year.
