Turnovers plague Lady Panthers in loss to Louisville

by Lisa Dowding

The Lady Panthers hosted the Louisville Lady Loins on Friday, January 4th losing to them by the score of 34-46.  Palmyra recorded 37 turnovers against the Loins press and defense.  The Lady Panthers just couldn’t get anything going all night.  The score at half time was Louisville16, Palmyra 11.  The Lady Lions came out firing in the third quarter scoring 17 points to Palmyra’s 9.  The Lady Panthers made a gallant effort in the fourth quarter trying to come back, but could not overcome the big deficit.  “I was very happy with the girl’s determination at the end of the game, they never gave up and worked hard to come back.” Coach Dowding said.
