Moda A Palmyra/Fashion at Palmyra
Who’s the next top designer?
by Rebecca Gill
I believe in completing assignments that make sense, yet are fun. I believe that all lessons at some point should lead to future possibilities, future careers. This year, Spanish II students are discovering their true talents and dong so in another language. We’ve practiced a little genealogy, worked as a waiter/waitress, designed a home, sold homes as real estate agent, wrote for sale ads, designed clothing ads, worked as models, been a master of ceremonies, and finally a fashion designer. (Allow me to take a breath and explain.)
Our last chapter focused on clothing speaking to a sales clerk (or being one yourself), and the discussing things we wanted, liked, preferred, as well as things we thought and planned to do. To wrap up the unit, we held a style show and described various students designed.
It was a blast and will be available to view on the web site in a few days (as Mr. Brown works on it). We felt however that our designs needed to be shared with the world. Click below to see a few.
Folks, I think we have some talent here!
