Mrs. Prokop
My name is Gail Prokop and I teach Kindergarten at Bennet Elementary. I grew up on a farm east of Panama, graduated from Norris High School and earned my BS in Education from the University of Nebraska.
I began my teaching career in western Kansas in a small school teaching 4th, 5th, and 6th grades. When Bennet had a 3rd grade opening I was ready to get back to Nebraska. I taught 3rd grade for many years. Twenty years ago I moved to the Kindergarten level. I really enjoy a 5 year old's eagerness to learn.
My husband Terry works at Wells Fargo in Big Business Lending. Our son Alex, is a Freshman at Southeast Community College and our other son Tony, is a Senior in Palmyra.
We recently moved to Lincoln after living on an acreage in the district for many years. I must admit, we are enjoying a simpler life and our gas bill is much less every month with 4 cars on the road. Sometimes change is good.
