Elem Staff: Mr. Goodrich, Sixth Grade

September 07, 2009

I'm currently in my nineteenth year of teaching sixth grade at Bennet Elementary.  I have been blessed with the opportunity to share in the lives and experiences of such wonderful young people over the years.  It has been a tremendous joy to see my students grow and move on with their lives.  It is both satisfying and gratifying to witness all the success stories and hear of the great achievements of our students.

I graduated from Blue Hill High School in 197_  .  I attended Dana College for a year before taking a break to discover myself.  During my discoveries, I spent time working construction, making bricks, and many years managing a restaurant.  After completing my discoveries, I attended Hastings College.  I received my degree in education from Hastings College in 199_.

This is a year of change.  I became a Grandpa in July and am loving the experience.  My youngest son is a Senior at PHS, and I'm not certain if I'm as ready to accept this as he is.  I have also experienced two children moving to new houses.  At least they have stayed close. I also have another that is moving in October. This is also the year that I will be seeing the hill from the other side.  I hope the view is as good as the one looking to the top.
