A little bit about me!
Hello, my name is Lisa Dowding and I am the resource teacher for grades 3, 4, 5, and 6. It is hard to believe but this year will be my 6th year here at Bennet. I grew up right outside of Bennet and attended Bennet Elementary from kindergarten through 6th grade and then went on to Palmyra. I graduated from Palmyra High School in 2001. After graduation, I attended Doane College in Crete, Nebraska and majored in Elementary Education and Special Education and graduated in May of 2005. Then in May of 2007 I graduated with my Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction.
I am married to a wonderful man, Nate Dowding, who is also a Palmyra graduate. In April of 2009, we had our first child, a daughter named Hailey. We are currently in the process of building a new home near Bennet and are excited to be moving into the area this spring.
Besides teaching at the elementary I will also spend a good amount of time at the high school coaching the varsity girls basketball team. I am looking forward to a wonderful year full of lots of new experiences!
