The Foundation For Knowledge Board wants to make sure that you know how important you and your support have been to us and the school district as a whole.  Your continued support will help us extend the success of the Foundation For Knowledge.  Here is a brief history of the foundation’s accomplishments.

The Foundation’s account balance at the end of 1998 was - $2,500
     By the end of 1999 it was -                                             $10,100
    The beginning of 2010 our account balance was -           $230,000

With your support we have not only been able to grow our account balance but more importantly we have invested in scholarships for our graduates including:
• Funds set aside to provide ongoing income for four endowed multi-year scholarships
• Funds set aside to provide ongoing income for three single year scholarships
• Total scholarship funding through the graduating class of 2010 has been $134,000.

Our focus has not only been on graduating seniors.  We have also provided:
• $41,000 in support for other educational programs, and
• $8,400 for supplies, equipment, and less privileged student support.

With your help we have provided $60,000 in the form of forgivable loans to our teaching staff, so that they can extend their endorsements and bring that experience to their classrooms.  This has resulted in 100% of our high school teachers being endorsed in the subject area they teach (5% over the state average).  Additionally, over 40% of our high school teaching staff has their master’s degree, equaling or exceeding the state percentage.

We believe, that with your help, we have had a significant impact on the quality of education for our students.
• ACT scores at or above state and national standards
• Our school has achieved a 100% graduation rate from 2007 through 2009.

Again, it has been with your support that we have been able to accomplish all of this.  We truly appreciate your help.
