TEAMMATES Mentoring Program Holds One Hour Walk

Help Raise Awareness of Local TEAMMATES Program

Seventeen people took part in the TEAMMATES One Hour Walk on Saturday, April 19th, at Arbor Lodge State Park in Nebraska City.  The walk was held to help create awareness, raise funds and recruit mentors for the local TEAMMATES Mentoring Program.  Those participating in the walk not only supported our local chapter of TEAMMATES, but also got the benefit of exercise, fun and camaraderie by exploring Arbor Lodge State Park.

Members of the One Hour Walk enjoy the serenity of the Arbor Lodge State Park.

The One Hour Walk signified the one hour adult volunteer mentors spend with a youth in a school setting.  Anyone who believes in youth and likes to have fun is welcome to inquire about mentoring possibilities at Palmyra/Bennet Schools.  Contact Christy Merryman, Coordinator, at 780-5327.
