Fall 2010 Activities Message

Hello, this is Burke Brown with a 2010 Fall Sports and Music Information message for students attending District OR1 schools at Bennet and Palmyra. For your convenience, this message will be placed on our web site in text form at www.district OR1.org. If you have received this message in error, please contact the school at 402-780-5327 and your number will be removed.
Students who wish to participate in any fall sport will need to turn in a physical to their respective coach before they can practice. No physical needed for conditioning or camps.
Cross Country
*Cross Country conditioning will take place Monday August 9th through Wednesday August 11th from 4 to 5 p.m. at the Palmyra Football Field.
*Cross Country practice begins Monday August 16 after school.
Volleyball
*9th Grade through 12th Grade students interested in participating in Volleyball this year will have a Camp Wednesday July 28th through Friday July 30th from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Palmyra gym.
*9th Grade through 12th Grade Volleyball conditioning will take place Tuesday August 10th through Friday August 13th from 8 to 9 a.m. at the Palmyra gym.
*Volleyball practice begins Monday August 16th after school.
Football
*9th Grade through 12th Grade students interested in participating in Football this year will have conditioning Tuesday August 3rd through Thursday August 5th from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Palmyra Football Field.
*Two a day practices are scheduled for Monday August 9th through Wednesday August 11th. The morning session will be from 8 to 10 and the afternoon session from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. The rest of the week times will be announced.
Girls Golf
*9th Grade through 12th Grade girls interested in going out for Girls Golf this fall will receive a call from their Head Coach, Mr. Hoeft about practice.
Music
*Band Camp will begin Monday August 2nd and continue through Friday August 6th from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Palmyra High School.
*On Friday August 6th there will be a Pot Luck Dinner at 5:30 p.m. at Palmyra High School with a Band exhibition set to begin 6:45 p.m. on the football field.
