Your Preschool Teachers

The Little Panthers Preschool is in it's third year of operation. We serve 24 of our district's youngest students and we are a very busy place! Classes meet Monday through Thursday and the students are divided into a morning and afternoon session. We thought you might like to meet the teachers that work with these enthusiastic young students.
Jean Cheney is the preschool teacher, but she is not new to the District OR-1 school system. She came to Bennet Elementary in 1988 as a second grade teacher and made the move to the preschool when it opened in January of 2008. She has an elementary and early childhood degree. Jean and her husband live south of Bennet on a farm, their four children are all grown and either living and working in the area or attending college.
Gale Poe is the preschool para-educator. Gale has her elementary degree and returned to the classroom a year ago after raising her family and teaching preschool in Lincoln for several years. Gale and her family live north of Hickman. Gale and her husband have one daughter still at home, the three older children are either working or attending college.
