Welcome to 4th Grade!
Hello and welcome back! I am very excited for the wonderful opportunity to teach 4th grade in Bennet again this year!
My name is Nichole Ourada. I graduated from Palmyra High School in 2006 and then went on to college at Nebraska Wesleyan University, where I was member of the volleyball team. In May of 2010, I graduated with a degree in Elementary Education and Special Education. I also completed my Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Peru State College in 2013. It is truly rewarding to be able to teach in the district where I grew up and see so many familiar faces!
My husband Garrett, who is also a Palmyra graduate, and I live on an acreage outside of Bennet. He works for Burlington Northern Railroad full time and manages a couple farm properties in the area. In addition, he keeps busy with our cattle herd. Both of our families live in the Palmyra/Bennet area and we enjoy spending time with them. We have one son, Weston, who is 15 months old. He is so much fun to be around and one of the reasons we love living so close to family.
When I’m not at school I like to play volleyball, work outside in my garden, and go hunting and fishing with my husband.
I am looking forward to this school year and meeting some new faces! Don’t hesitate to stop in my room and chat!
