6G Holiday Project
News from 6Goodrich
During the last week prior to their holiday break, the sixth graders were busy creating a candy cane rag wreath for a holiday gift. The students worked hard and fast in order to finish before break. They were all excited about the project and happy with their final results.
Each student was given 1/2 yd. of red and 1/2 yd. of white material. Each 1/2 yd. had to be measured, cut and torn into 1" x 7" strips. (approximately 120 strips per 1/2 yd.) These strips were then tied onto a candy cane shaped hanger. When the wreaths were finished, they had to be adorned with bells and ribbon to complete the project. I'm certain someone enjoyed receiving this gift as much as the sixth graders enjoyed creating them.
