Welcome to 4th Grade!
Hello and welcome back! I am very excited for the wonderful opportunity to teach 4th grade in Bennet again this year!
My name is Nichole Ourada. I graduated from Palmyra High School in 2006 and then went on to college at Nebraska Wesleyan University, where I was member of the volleyball team. In May of 2010, I graduated with a degree in Elementary Education and Special Education. I also have earned my Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Peru State College and graduated in May 2013. It is truly rewarding to be able to teach in the district where I grew up and see so many familiar faces!
My husband Garrett, who is also a Palmyra graduate, and I live on an acreage outside of Bennet. He works for Burlington Northern Railroad, helps his family farm, and does some custom-haying in the summer. We also have a herd of cattle that keep us busy year-round.
We have two boys, Weston and Ryden. Weston is two years old and keeps us busy. He loves any activity that is outdoors and helping his daddy check cows. Our youngest son, Ryden, is almost three months old and is changing so fast. He is a smiley, content baby and we couldn’t be happier! We love living in the rural community and being so close to family. In our spare time, we enjoy being outdoors, whether it is camping, fishing, or hunting. We also enjoy playing sand volleyball in the summer.
I am looking forward to this school year and meeting some new faces! Don’t hesitate to stop in my room and chat!
