Young students build knowledge through hands-on exploration. As part of the Nebraska Early Learning Guidelines for children age 3-5, preschoolers should participate in active exploration through observing, describing, and discussing (s. 02). Preschool students at Little Panthers Preschool were able to take part in several color changing activities. Each experiment allowed the students to observe a color change take place. Students enjoyed mixing red, yellow, and blue paint on their paper. The students also observed a color change take place at two colors were combined.
