Embryology Project

 Story image 1_0

They’re here! They’re here! The fourth graders have been taking care of chicken eggs in an incubator as part of our Ag in the Classroom project.  Our students are excited to announce that 32 baby chicks hatched out of 42! The students learned how much food and water the chicks needed on a daily basis and how to handle them.  To culminate the Embryology Project, the fourth graders invited the Kindergarten classes to come for a visit.  Students were responsible for teaching the Kindergartners how to take care of the chicks and then demonstrating how to properly hold one.  Everyone had a blast!
