District OR1 Raises Money for Flood Relief
Children's Fund Awarded Nearly $6000
Bennet Elementary and Palmyra High ended a ten-day duel to see which school could raise the most money for victims of recent Nebraska disasters. All district students earned an ice-cream social sponsored by OR1 administration. First grade and seniors, too, earned a pizza party for winning their school's class vs. class contest. The NSEA Children's Fund was selected as the non-profit to distribute the funds gathered in the district's "Change for Change" project, as 100 percent of all donations are given to those in need. Congratulations to both schools. This amazing project demonstrates the character of our community as we ensure our good fortunes give hope to others.
