All About Mrs. Bahm

Another school year has begun, and I am so excited! I would like to welcome all new Fifth grade students and parents, and am looking forward to a great year.
Just to let you know a little bit about me, I am a native of Fremont, NE. I graduated from Fremont High School and then from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln with a degree in Elementary Education. Following graduation, I taught my first four years in Colorado(Jefferson County School District). I met my husband Daryl there, and we were transferred back to Lincoln. I taught in L.P.S. for a year and then had our wonderful daughter, Susanne, who later married our son-in-law, Lance .
I have taught at Bennet Elementary for18 years, this being my 19th. I have so enjoyed being in a smaller community where parental involvement is so enthusiastic. Thanks for the opportunity to work with your children.
Speaking of children, we have two wonderful grandchildren. Alexa is eight years old and just entered third grade. Our grandson, Jackson, is five years old and is a new Kindergartner .They are the joys of our lives! Susanne and Lance are expecting our third bundle in January.
Some activities I enjoy include reading, family events, summer vacation at the cabin in Minnesota, and shopping (particularly for my grandchildren!}.
Again, thank you for lending me your special children for nine months of hard work, much learning, and lots of fun!
