Business Teacher/Cross Country Coach

Graduated high school from Wahoo High with honors, and received a football scholarship to Peru State.  At Peru, I studied to become a math teacher and lettered in football my freshman and sophomore years. I then transferred to Midland College 2nd semester of my sophomore year, where I switched majors and became a Business Teacher.  I also lettered in football and track my junior and senior years.  I received a BA in Business Education in 1976.  I have taken 27 graduate hours but I have not earned my masters.

I'm in my 34th year of teaching in five school districts; Douglas High School for two years, Elgin Pope John for 2 years, Lindsay Holy Family 1 year, Potter (Potter-Dix) 15 years, and I'm in my 14th year at Palmyra.  I have taught every business class possible plus some social studies.  Currently I'm teaching Personal Finance, Accounting, MSA (Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Powerpoint), Photoshop.  I'm currently the head Cross Country Coach.

Some Highlight's of my head coaching career include a State Championship in Girls Basketball and a State Runner-up in Girls Basketball, both at Potter-Dix.  I've won over 300 total games in basketball.  Had over 150 state qualifiers in track in which 40 have medaled and 4 state champions.  My Cross Country teams have qualified for state 3 times (1 at Palmyra), and I've had 9 individual qualifiers.

My pastimes include, I'm sure you have guessed, sports.  I still enjoy golfing and watching anything on TV.  I own a small condo and live in Lincoln.  I have three brothers, they are all married and have had 12 kids and 11 grand kids with 2 on the way.
