I graduated from Lyons High School in 1977. I attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln from 1977-1982 graduating with a double major in biology and physical education and a coaching endorsement. I began my teaching career at Palmyra High School in 1982, teaching science and coaching volleyball, basketball, and track. Later I sponsored PARTY, a drug-free group, for 18 years. For the past 10 years I have been a junior class sponsor.
I am married to Doug and we reside in Palmyra. We have hosted seven exchange students from Germany, Mexico, Austria and South Korea. I love traveling having been to Germany, Italy, Great Britain, Ireland, France, Canada, Mexico, Honduras, Belize, Jamaica, Turkey, and the Cayman Islands.
In my free time I enjoy swimming at a local pool. In my younger years I enjoyed playing sports and my trumpet in the high school and collegiate band.
