I have been the Agriculture Educator, Welding Instructor and FFA (student agriculture and career organization) Advisor at Palmyra since 1988. I also provide agriculture long distance education activities to area schools when schedules can be arranged.. I act as Junior class sponsor, Anaphylaxis and Asthma team coordinator, CPR training coordinator/ monitor and rank pretty high as school historian.  I have been teaching Agriculture Education since 1976. Having graduated from Palmyra and being active in the community, I am an EMT on the Palmyra Fire and Rescue Dept., and have served on the planning and zoning commission.  I was selected as the Nebraska Farm Bureau FFA Advisor in 2014 at the State FFA Convention.

Ag Education classes and the FFA involve more than an industry associated with farming. Agriculture is booming as one in six U.S. jobs is ag related, making agriculture our country's largest and prominent employer. It offers careers in animal science, biotechnology, business, food related and food science, natural resources, environmental, plant science, engineering, building and technical areas.  Other major components of the curriculum are the Community service and leadership skills the students are associated with. Premier leadership, personal growth and career success are the keys for the Ag education and FFA classes. Come on in and give it a try.
