Welcome to 4th Grade!
Hello and welcome back! I am thrilled for the wonderful opportunity to teach in such a wonderful district. This will be my eighth year teaching 4th grade in Bennet.
My name is Nichole Ourada. I graduated from Palmyra High School in 2006 and then went on to college at Nebraska Wesleyan University, where I was member of the volleyball team. In May of 2010, I graduated with a degree in Elementary Education and Special Education. I also have earned my Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Peru State College and graduated in May 2013. It is truly rewarding to be able to teach in the district where I grew up and see so many familiar faces!
My husband Garrett, who is also a Palmyra graduate, and I live on an acreage outside of Bennet. He works for Burlington Northern Railroad, helps on the family farm, and does some custom-haying in the summer. We also have a herd of cattle that keeps us busy year-round.
We have two boys, Weston and Ryden. Weston is four years old and is very adventurous. He loves any activity that is outdoors and helping out in any way he can, especially checking the cows with daddy! Our youngest son, Ryden, is two years old and is changing so fast. He loves books, the baby calves, playing outside and wants to do everything his brother does! We love living in the rural community and being so close to family. In our spare time, we enjoy being outdoors, whether it is camping, fishing, or hunting. We also enjoy playing sand volleyball in the summer.
I am looking forward to this school year and meeting some new faces! Don’t hesitate to stop in my room and chat!
