💙❤️ Panther Pride — Then & Now! ❤️💙 How cool is this piece of Panther history?! 🐾 Palmyra High School English teacher McKenna Webel is proudly wearing her grandfather’s vintage letterman’s jacket! Her grandpa, Bill Sturdy, is a Panther alum and is pictured right in the middle of the black-and-white photo from 1967 — wearing that very same jacket! 🤯 Fast forward nearly 60 years, and Panther pride is still going strong! Current Palmyra High School student Drake Dowding is showing off today’s version of the Panther letterman’s jacket alongside McKenna and her grandfather’s piece of Palmyra history. Mrs. Malone’s 6th grade PE class teamed up with Mr. Baumert’s high school weights class for a little Friday fun! They split the gym--boys played a pick up game of football while the girls hit the court for volleyball. 🏈🏐 Much like our High Five Fridays, we love seeing our older Panthers take time to connect with our younger students. This is how we continue to grow our Panther culture—building relationships across grade levels and giving our younger students positive role models to look up to. Whether it’s in the hallways, on the field, or in the gym, those moments matter. On the 25th anniversary of 9/11, our fifth-grade Bennet Singers had the honor of singing “The Star-Spangled Banner” in recognition of Patriot Day during morning announcements for the whole school to hear! September 11 is a day we pause to remember the lives lost, honor the heroes who stepped forward, and reflect on the courage, sacrifice, and unity shown by Americans in the days that followed. 🇺🇸 We’re proud of these fifth graders for lending their voices to such a meaningful remembrance—and excited to officially introduce this year’s Bennet Singers, under the direction of Mrs. Beth McCreight! 💙 We look forward to hearing much more from this talented group throughout the school year. 🎶🐾 #OnePantherFamily #BennetSingers #PatriotDay

🌽 Learning beyond the classroom! 🚜 On Tuesday, Palmyra’s FFA and welding students traveled to Grand Island for Husker Harvest Days, one of the nation’s largest working farm shows! Students had the opportunity to explore the latest in agriculture, equipment, technology, welding and skilled trades while connecting what they’re learning in the classroom to real-world careers and industries. Experiences like these give our students a chance to see, ask questions, make connections and discover what their futures could look like. 💙 A big thank you to Mrs. Beach and Mr. Fritsch who make opportunities like this possible for our Panthers! 🐾 Great day to learn. Our kindergarten students have been exploring 3D paper sculpture, using colorful strips of paper to create loops, curls, folds and all kinds of lines that bring their artwork to life! And a big shoutout to Mrs. Garris, our elementary art teacher, who not only gives our students opportunities to create, explore and get a little messy 😉—but also makes sure their masterpieces are proudly displayed throughout our hallways for everyone to enjoy. ❤️ There’s something pretty special about walking through Bennet Elementary and seeing our students’ creativity covering the walls. Our halls are their gallery! 🖼️✨ Way to create, Kindergarten! 🎨✂️💙

🏃‍♀️🐾 PANTHER FUN RUN DAY! 🐾🏃‍♂️ What a day to be a Panther! 💙 Each grade made their way to the Olson Complex today to run some laps, spend time with friends, and celebrate an INCREDIBLE accomplishment — Bennet Elementary students raised OVER $30,000! 🎉 There was plenty of running, walking, cheering, laughing and giggling — and a whole lot to celebrate! 🍦 That ice cream truck is officially in their future! Even better, we’ll be able to fulfill this year’s 5th Grade Legacy Project and bring new chairs to Bennet Elementary! 🪑💙 A HUGE thank you to everyone who donated and supported our students, and to our staff for making today such a safe, fun and memorable day!

-Copy or write down the 6-character, case-sensitive code provided. (Note: This code expires after 7 days or one use.)


Step 2: Create Your Parent Account (Parent Action)

-Go to our district Canvas login page at https://palmyra.instructure.com/login/canvas

-Click Parent of a Canvas User? Click Here to Create an Account in the top right corner.

-Fill in your name, email address, and desired password.

-Enter the Student Pairing Code provided by your child in the final field.

-Click Start Participating.


Option: Canvas Parent Mobile App *Once your account* is created, you can download the Canvas Parent app from the iOS App Store or Google Play Store. Log in using the credentials you just created to view grades and assignment due dates directly from your phone.

If you have multiple children attending our school, you can add additional students later by going to Account > Observing in your parent account settings.

Mrs. Nitzsche’s kindergarteners have been working on syllable blending, and today they put their skills into action with a fun game of “Tap and Chase”—a phonics twist on the classic Duck, Duck, Goose! Students practiced breaking compound words into two parts—sun (duck).....shine (goose!), door…bell, play…ground—and then blending them back together as they made their way around the circle. ☀️🔔🛝 Learning, movement, AND a whole lot of smiles?
