We're gearing up for the 2026 Panther Fun Run for our K–5 students at Bennet Elementary, and our fifth graders are helping us spread the word!
Our first challenge is simple: GET REGISTERED!
🎒 Every K–5 student who registers receives a Panther backpack clip!
🏃 Every classroom that reaches 100% registration earns an extra recess with Mr. Haag!
Registration is FREE and only takes a few minutes. Once registered, students can start sharing their fundraising page with family and friends and helping us climb toward our schoolwide goals!

🐸🐛 Spelling words, subtraction problems…and a surprise lesson in entomology! 🦗🔍
Mrs. Hiett has been covering Mrs. Schaller’s 2nd grade class while she is out on maternity leave. She came fully prepared to tackle all things second grade—but she probably didn’t expect “classroom zookeeper” to be added to the job description! 😂
It all started when a student caught a tree frog and brought it to school for her. How could she say no?! One thing led to another, and before she knew it, the classroom had a frog, four caterpillars, multiple crickets, AND a praying mantis! 🐸🐛🦗
We absolutely love seeing Mrs. Hiett lean into the curiosity of these students and turn their excitement into opportunities to learn, observe, ask questions, and explore the world around them. 💙
Sometimes the very best lessons aren’t the ones in the lesson plans!

If your garden has a surplus, you are invited to donate extra UNWASHED fruits and vegetables from your garden! Produce can be dropped off at either Bennet Elementary or Palmyra Jr/Sr. High School.
Our amazing cafeteria specialists will wash and prepare the donated produce and add it to the salad bars for the students to enjoy! 🥗
We love giving our Panthers the opportunity to try new foods and expand their palates - and what better way to do that than with fresh produce grown right here in our community!
Thank you for helping us bring a little bit of our community's harvest to the lunch table! 🐾

These ladies are not only leaders on the court, they are leaders off the court as well. Last Friday these student athletes were handing out high fives and smiles at the elementary for High Five Fridays!

A huge congratulations to Palmyra High School freshman Lauren Johnson, who brought home a WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP from the AQHA Youth World Show! 🎉🐴
Lauren and her horse, PlayOnHouseMoney “Roulette,” earned the title of Champion in Level 1 Western Trail, 13 & Under while competing against youth riders from across the United States and around the world!

Mrs. Whyman's students and staff have been keeping busy since school started back up! Between projects around the school and helping out at the Olson Complex - they're back in action
Ms. Welker's students took to the hallways to put physics into motion with a hands-on paper airplane velocity lab! After designing and folding their own aircraft, students completed three flight trials—measuring total distance in meters and flight duration in seconds.
Using the speed formula (S=D/T), they calculated their airplane's speed for each run, evaluated their averages, and analyzed how aerodynamic design and external forces impacted flight performance. They will use this knowledge to learn about Kinetic Energy next!
