Palmyra to Delay Opening Until August 16

Due to construction delays and final building preparations, the opening of Palmyra Junior/Senior High School will be delayed until Wednesday, August 16. On Wednesday, August 16, buses will run accordingly, and breakfast will be served. Bennet Elementary will begin classes as originally scheduled on Monday, August 14 with buses running for Elementary students only. Schedule changes for grades 7-12 students will be on Thursday, August 10 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the High School Library. Please note that the Bennet Elementary open house is Thursday, August 10 from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. All varsity sports will begin the week of August 7.
Athletic Practices: From Mr. Hoeft
*Volleyball will begin August 7th-8th at 7am at Bennet Elementary. August 9th and 11th practice will begin at 3:30pm. All practices will be at Bennet.
*Football will begin August 7th-11th from 3-6pm on the football field.
*Cross Country will begin August 7th-8th at 8am at the city park. August 9-11th is at 6am. JH will start August 14th.
*Girls golf will begin August 9th at 4pm at Woodland Hills.
*Contact your coaches if you have any issues or questions with these schedules.
*All athletes must have a physical on file to participate, but if not they should still attend practice to observe.
*Students are asked to park in the north lot parking lot for Palmyra practices and the south parking lot for Bennet practices. Please do not park in the Bennet circle.
