District Suffers Loss
Good evening Panther families,
I apologize in advance for the late notice. It is with a heavy heart that I share some difficult news with all of you this evening. Kade Reiman, Bennet Elementary second grade teacher died this afternoon.
Our district Crisis Response Team has been activated and counselors will be available at Bennet Elementary School on Sunday, November 14th from 1-3 p.m. for both staff and students to assist with grief counseling and support as needed.
Additionally, our high school football coaches will also be available from 1-2 p.m. tomorrow (Sunday, November 14th) at the high school to assist any student athletes that may need additional support. The high school doors on the east side of the building will be open beginning at 12:45 p.m. More information will be sent home as it becomes available. Please also stay tuned for more information as it becomes available through local media outlets as well.
We will plan to have school as scheduled on Monday, November 15th. Counselors and support staff will also be on hand on Monday to assist students, staff, and families as well.
Ms. Walter and our school crisis team will be in touch with families sometime on Sunday about the specifics of Monday’s elementary schedule.
