Guidance for Positive COVID

On Thursday, September 3rd we received notification of a positive COVID-19 test with an individual at Bennet Elementary School. Through the course of our contact tracing protocols with our local health department, it was determined "that close contacts" (people who had direct contact with the positive case) were limited to certain classrooms at the school. Those students and staff identified as "close contacts" and considered at-risk for transmission have been contacted by school personnel and asked to quarantine for 14 days from the last date of contact with the positive case.
Please Note: if you were not contacted, you were not identified as a "close contact" and do not need to quarantine at this time. Finally, District OR1, including Bennet Elementary, will have a regular day of school and activities today.
