6th grade Celebrates Black History Month!
In the month of February, students from 6th grade worked on research project for Black History month. The Social Studies teacher and Computer block teacher decided to do a project together. During Black History month, we wanted to recognize the many achievements, contributions and the lives of African Americans who have championed equality and had a significant impact on our society. Students selected, researched and created a poster about the person they researched. The poster and presentation contained a photo or drawing, a quote from the person, and at least 6 points of interest to share with the class. All students presented to their classmates the information they learned about their selected person. The posters are now displayed in the Halls of Bennet Elementary. Congratulations 6th grade on a great job done!
