As we at District OR-1 continue to explore serving our students at the highest level, we recently began to look into possibly offering a section of “all-day preschool” for four-year olds only. In short, we believe this change would strengthen our ability to successfully transition our four-year-olds into kindergarten. Please note that we will still offer a section of “half-day preschool” for any four-year-olds preferring to stay in a half-day setting. These offerings would all be on a Monday through Thursday schedule. This would truly be a choice of the parent, as we would offer both half and full-day sections. We will also keep our half-day section for three-year-olds.
To help aid in our decision, we ask you to fill out the following questionnaire as to how you feel (today) regarding our preschool planning for the 2024-2025 school year. This is NOT a commitment on your part. This is only a snapshot of how patrons currently feel they would use the service; thus helping District OR-1 in continuing to explore this opportunity. Finally, please share this link with any neighbors that may not be on our list, but will have four-year-olds next year.
